Dog's Prayer: Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in all the
world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Speak to me often, for
your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging
of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear. Keep my pan
filled with fresh water and food, for I cannot tell you when I am thirsty or
hungry. And, my friend, when I am very old and I no longer enjoy good
health, do not make heroic efforts to keep me going. I am not having any
fun. Please see that my trusting life is taken gently. I shall leave
this earth knowing that my fate was always safest in your hands. )

Yes, this is truly a little dog cowering in the corner of a local shelter.
This poor Bichon was slated for euthanasia as he was determined "vicious".
We requested permission to show them he was salvageable, and with treat bribes
he became our buddy within minutes. After providing documentation to
verify we were qualified to take this one home for evaluation, we cleaned him
up, and found a darling little Bichon/mix of only about a year old. Once
in a loving environment, he blossomed into a very sweet pet.
Grooming can be a big expense with Bichon Rescue. We are honored to have volunteers willing to assist in this need. We do a large percent of grooming ourselves, thanks to training by Pat of White Cloud Bichons and Bonnie Osgood. And recently PetsMart of Parker donated a drying kennel for our use! Thank You PetsMart!
