Puppy Costs and Warrantees:

* We use the term "adoption" .  Pet Stores sell puppies, they do not screen for ownership or care who takes their pets as long as they get paid.  We Care!  We adopt out our puppies  as we want forever homes for them.  

*  We place  puppies as family pets only.   If you are looking for a  puppy to show, show quality perfection in looks, or want to breed; we will gladly refer you to show breeders. 

* We are on our 13th year of  Bichon Frise ownership, and  we are very proud of our lines.  We choose not to show our dogs as we do not want them to live the restrictive lifestyle required to maintain a perfect coat for the show ring.  We prefer our dogs to live the life of a fun loving, mud digging, romping, stomping pet. 

*  We do not place puppies before they are 10 weeks old and may hold them to 12 weeks if they are small.

* We provide a 4 generation pedigree on all of our pure-bred puppies at the time of adoption.  

* You are required to sign a spay/neuter agreement on our  puppies.   When you provide proof of your neuter, we will provide registration papers on the puppy.  

* Adoption fees for our Bichon Frise puppies are $750.00.  The puppies are the same price whether male or female.  We love them both the same, and feel no need to discount based on gender.    This is a local price, and would not include any shipping costs to place a puppy out of state.  Due to local demand, most of our puppies are placed locally, however we are happy to ship puppies out of state to approved homes.   Shipping costs would be the adoptive families responsibility.

*Parents of our puppies have been cerf certified, with certificates on file.  Our breeding parents have all achieved excellent or good on their certificates.

* We will warrant your puppy against contagious disease for 3 days, and for congenital defects for one year.    We would gladly exchange a puppy for you if a genetic problem occurs. OR:  We understand most owners love their pets from the day they take them home and, unlike many breeders, we will gladly refund the adoption fee and let you keep your puppy if a genetic problem occurs.

*Your puppy  will leave our home with a minimum of 2 Parvo vaccines and one combo (DDP2).  Puppies will need at least one other  DDP2 vaccine and a rabies, spaced about every 4 weeks after they leave us.  Additionally, as parasites live in our local water supply, puppies can have internal parasites, such as Giardia & Coccidia, that are not covered under our guarantee, and are easily treated.  Our Puppies are pre-treated for worms and parasites before they leave with Panacur, Metronidozole and Albon.

*We reserve the right to neuter male puppies prior to placement.

* Your puppy will be micro-chipped  for identification purposes.  We register the puppy under our name.  You will be charged a $20 fee  to transfer the micro-chip registration to your name.  If your puppy gets lost, it is the fastest and surest way of you being reunited with him!

*Our puppies are very social.  They have been held and played with by children as well as adults, and have interacted with many other dogs.  Your puppy  will want and need attention from you. 

*Our puppies are raised on Eagle Puppy, which is not always found in local pet stores.  Please use a quality Puppy chow  for your pet for the first year.  We recommend  Nutro Puppy, which can easily be found at PetsMart.  Stay away from grocery store or "bargain" dog chow please.  Small dogs do not eat a lot, please invest in his health with a quality dog food.  Many puppies will have allergic reaction and bowel or stomach problems due to poor diet. 

* PetsMart is a big supporter of rescue...Please do all your pet supply shopping with them, and let them know we appreciate their efforts in rescue.  

* We consider ourselves "grandparents" please feel free to call on us for help anytime.  We welcome questions as well as cards and phone calls letting us know how everything is going.  And, we really appreciate our annual  family reunions at our Bichon Picnic and Fund Raisers each summer.  2003 Picnic Invitation
